The people behind the work
Women-led. Community-rooted. Built to collaborate.
Our team brings together lived experience, programme craft, advocacy, and deep belief in women’s power to build sustainable futures.

Founder & team lead
Oluwadamilola Akintewe
A social entrepreneur and change leader, Damilola founded Project Rebirth after growing up on a farming settlement in a rural community and seeing how structural barriers narrowed women’s choices.
Her work is committed to dismantling oppression and building practical routes to economic power—through learning, finance, sustainable enterprise, and collective leadership.

Leadership is shared, not held at the top.
Project Rebirth is built around proximity, trust, and accountability to the women and communities our programmes serve.
Women-led
More than 85% of the team are young women shaping strategy, delivery, and community relationships.
Community-first
We listen before designing and build with communities, not simply for them.
Collaborative
Partners, mentors, local leaders, and participants contribute different forms of expertise.
Always learning
We measure, reflect, and adapt so our programmes become more useful over time.
Join the wider team
Your expertise can help open the next door.
We welcome values-aligned volunteers, mentors, funders, and partners who want to build with care and stay for the long work.
